The concept for this Twin Peaks wedding theme is a bit self-indulgent 🙂 I am a massive fan of the 90s TV show Twin Peaks. I think the visuals are delightful, with a desaturated yet vibrant colour palette. The idea of escaping to an idyllic small town in the mountains is glorious to me. But the show is about a murder and numerous unsolved crimes, you say, and you wouldn’t be wrong. It is slightly terrifying, I will also give you that. However, if you look at the more daytime soap side of the show, then it isn’t so odd…right? 🙂 again, this might be the obsession talking.

For those that haven’t seen Twin Peaks (shame on you), it is a Supernatural horror/daytime soap/procedural crime drama. All of the best, rolled into one. The highlights for me are:

– Cooper (the main FBI detective) LOVES coffee. And who wouldn’t, it is warm and fragrant and comforting.

– He has an infectious enthusiasm about EVERYTHING and an insatiable curiosity.

– They are prepared a donut buffet every morning.

– There is sensational cherry pie.

– There are strong and rich tones of red, brown and green, all with a special vibrancy.

– There is small town rustic charm.

All of these could make for a unique and charming wedding.

The Five Senses

Sight The reception will be held in a cozy rustic log cabin. There will also be a strong theme element of owls around the room.

Smell Coffee will be wafting through the  cozy rustic cabin. There will also be a soft sugary scent on the air.

Sound There will be a jazz band playing a set inspired by the music that makes Twin Peaks one of my favourite shows.

Touch All of the furniture will be rough hewn timber, with red velvet table runners.

Taste There will of course be an extensive dessert bar with a tempting array of donuts and pie.
