Deposit terms

20% deposit is required to secure the booking of your chosen items for your date. This can be transferred via Paypal or Direct Deposit. The balance will be required at least 2 weeks prior to delivery or collection. A discount may be applied for accounts paid in full upon booking.

Cancellation terms
  • 30 days or more written notice: full deposit refunded.
  • 15 – 30 days written notice: 50% of deposit refunded.
  • 7 – 14 days written notice: 25% of deposit refunded.
  • Less than 7 days notice: No refund available.
The balance of payment

The balance payment is due are least 2 weeks prior to delivery/collection of hire pieces. This can be in cash, direct deposit, credit card or Paypal.

Please note if you are transferring the balance via direct deposit, it must be cleared prior to collection (this can take up to 3 days)

Hire period

The hire period will vary based of delivery location.

If you pick up and drop off the product, the typical hire period is Thursday-Monday. Please advise us if you require the items for longer.

If we are delivering your items via courier, the hire period may be up to 7 days. If your event is over the weekend, we expect the items to be sent back via courier the Monday morning.

We send our packages via a courier and will need a street address to send them to. We can help arrange the return delivery via our courier.


Please wash and dry the items before packing them in the shipping box to be sent back. This is essential as food can damage the surface of the gold.


A security bond of $100 for bookings up to $1500 or 20% of total booking fee for bookings over $1500. Hire items must be returned in the same manner and condition as they were provided. The bond will be refunded within 3 days of return of the stock and receiving your bank details; less any charges incurred for missing, broken or severely damaged items. If the replacement amount exceeds the security deposit, the hirer is liable to pay the additional charges.


All goods hired and are the responsibility of the hirer from the time of delivery/collection until they are returned to Gold Wedding Hire. Any losses, damage or breakages will be charged to the hirer. The Hirer shall protect the equipment during the time of delivery to the venue, use, storage or waiting period before return delivery. Any person signing the documents for and on behalf of the Hirer hereby covenants with the Owner that he/she has the authority of the Hirer to make this agreement on the Hirer’s behalf and is empowered by the Hirer to bind the Hirer to this agreement.

Damage waiver

Damage waiver is payable by the hirer to cover costs associated with normal wear and tear to the equipment hired and is included in the cutlery fees, the waiver does not cover any other damage including breakages, chips or loss.
